Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler
Job Description
This role focuses on safely and efficiently handling materials within a warehouse environment, including operating stand-up order picker and reach-style forklifts, performing pick/pack and kitting tasks, and supporting inventory accuracy through cycle counts and use of handheld barcode scanners.
Responsibilities
Operate material handling equipment, including stand-up order picker and reach-style forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
Load and unload freight from trucks and staging areas while following safety and handling procedures.
Move product for receipt, picking, packing, and kitting using a handheld barcode scanner to ensure accurate tracking.
Check, count, and verify freight and inventory for accuracy and report discrepancies as needed.
Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure safe operation.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and assist in maintaining overall warehouse cleanliness.
Support warehouse security by following established access, handling, and storage procedures.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with all site safety guidelines.
Perform cycle counts to support inventory accuracy and reconcile stock variances.
Complete other warehouse and material handling duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
At least 6+ months of warehouse experience in pick, pack, and kitting activities.
Proven ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Experience performing inventory cycle counts with strong attention to detail.
Certification and hands-on experience operating stand-up order picker forklifts.
Certification and hands-on experience operating reach-style forklifts.
Comfort using handheld barcode scanners for product movement and inventory control.
Basic PC skills to navigate warehouse systems and record data accurately.
Ability to learn new tasks quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and inventory handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in warehouse packing, picking, kitting, and material handling.
Experience with loading and unloading freight in a warehouse or distribution setting.
Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain an orderly work area.
Demonstrated commitment to working safely and following warehouse procedures.
Strong reliability and willingness to perform a variety of warehouse support tasks as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
