Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Vernon Hills, Illinois
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Vernon Hills, Illinois. In this role, you will handle key financial tasks such as billing, cash applications, and account reconciliation to ensure smooth and accurate operations. Responsibilities:
• Process and manage billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
• Apply cash payments efficiently while maintaining detailed records.
• Manage collections for commercial accounts, maintaining a detail-oriented and effective approach.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize the Odoo system for accounts receivable tasks and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients regarding payment schedules.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance metrics.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
• Proficiency in handling billing functions and cash activity processes.
• Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Familiarity with Odoo or similar financial software systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Prior experience in commercial collections is preferred.
