Aerotek 3rd Shift Entry-level Packer in Vernon Hills, Illinois

Job Title: Packer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated packers with experience in a fast-paced production environment. You will be responsible for packing material directly from the production machine, building boxes, and staging materials for shipment. This role requires physical stamina as you will regularly lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods with rotations every two hours.

Responsibilities

  • Pack material as it comes off the production machine.

  • Build boxes and stage materials for shipping.

  • Inspect products and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Communicate effectively with leads, supervisors, and managers.

  • Read and understand SOPs and work orders.

  • Utilize computer systems to access work instructions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in packing within a fast-paced production environment.

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly.

  • Strong communication skills for interaction with leads and supervisors.

  • Ability to read and interpret SOPs and work orders.

  • Computer proficiency for accessing work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in medical assembly or clean room operations.

  • Experience with small parts assembly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
