Job Description:
The associate is responsible to provide ongoing analysis, governance, and tracking to enable the delivery of the team purpose – to create, lead and govern the commercial strategy for the respective portfolios to enable delivery of our OGSM priorities. This person must bring the outside in (store-back thinking) when it comes to our commercial strategy (pricing, promo, feature, mix, customer margins etc) and supports to translate our brand plans into customer ready plans to be deployed in partnership with the sales team. The job holder is responsible for overseeing the demand levers across the board, developing recommendations for action for our business and by this serves as a key contributor to the local One Demand Team for the Dog portfolio.
What would be your key responsibilities?
1. Portfolio Market Strategy & Deployment
Supports the modelling a 3 year Price-Volume-Mix roadmap which delivers sustainable top line and profit growth
Facilitates translation of 3Y roadmap into our annual Operating Plan input for their respective portfolios in relation to key building blocks (category, pricing, promotions, trade terms, innovation, distribution, ROS)
Tailors these deliverables by Sales Channel to ensure they maximize impact in the various customer environments
Analyses local market requirements for PPA programme suitable for customers and channel in market
Provides ongoing local market insight to the MS&D Market Strategy Leader on customer and channel requirements for TM, packs, distribution box, lead & launch timings on all regional portfolio activity
Designs guardrails for deployment of annual Perfect Store ambition for the respective portfolio through the Picture of Success, including distribution and share of space target, range priorities and measurement KPIs
Leverages business acumen and customer knowledge to translate business objectives and brand plans into deployable customer solutions, i.e. - Drives promotional learnings of advanced analytics together with the Transversal team and accountable to the upkeep for all promotional ROI data for respective portfolios - Builds Innovation margin and pricing scenarios (vs competition and internal pricing strategy) including Mars and Customer P&Ls to ensures the right commercial and financial model (SoP) for all innovation (e.g., margin accretive, aligned to trade terms profit pools objectives to incentivize ongoing mix development), including input to Regional Portfolio team
Supports the customer teams in priority external customer conversations, negotiation plans, and sell ins
2. Performance Analysis, Diagnostics & S&OP+
Runs within year performance diagnosis and drives required actions for relevant portfolio through the One Demand team and S&OP+ cycle, including distribution, pricing, promo, share, share of space, competitive review
Facilitates communication of the portfolio activity plans to the demand teams including stewardship of local One Demand Team meetings
Leverage the S&OP+ cycles to ensure clear communication of brand performance, deviations/opportunities and follow through to hit OP & Stretch Targets including market representation at PDM
3. Brings the outside in (store-back thinking)

4. Brand Engagement and Brand Performance Communication
- Leverage the S&OP+ cycles to ensure clear communication of brand performance, deviations/opportunities and follow through to hit OP & Stretch Targets including market representation at PDM

What are we looking for?
1-3 years work experience in top tier FMCG in relevant Demand Function (preferably customer facing function at Management level with a track record of results, impact and influence)
Experience of managing multiple brands and/or multiple subcategories
Experience of working in a multi-functional business unit environment. Good knowledge of business management and commercial management skills (business forecasting, financial analysis, P&L management, supply side knowledge).
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills/creativity
Good relationship builder and ability to navigate through formal and informal channels and lead without authority
Fluent in German & English
