Corporate R&D Core PLM senior manager
Job Level: P2
Location: SXB or Aimargues or other European Hub.
All segments.
Contract: Permanent (CDI). Full time. Hybrid.
We are continuing business wide transformation program until 2030 that will deliver the next generation of Enterprise Digital Core Capabilities Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Those Enterprise R&D Digital capabilities will be deployed in all segment units through segment digital transformation programs.
The Corporate R&D Digital Core Product Lifecycle Management Senior manager steer a team of expert’s team to design and build new global cross segments solutions capabilities which do not exist today, either in SAP PLM and in Common Edge.
This role is accountable to define, govern and execute the deployment strategy of the whole program accross all segments by 2030. This role is an expert on how existing Product & Pack tools enable our R&D processes. This transformational role requires thought leadership, quality decision making, deep technical know-how, and an ability to navigate complex business challenges while applying a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach.
In order to create successful interfaces this role works in partnership with the new DT New Capabilities Director role, the Corporate, the Corp cPLM product manager, the Corp Product & Pack Systems manager, the E2E cPLM process architect, the Product Data Teams, the Change Manager leader, the Segment GPOs, with segment Scope Leads, the Functional expert’s manager, and Mars digital technologies’ team.
What are we looking for?
Minimum bachelor degree in science, or Information Technology, or related subject area is desirable. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years work experience in Product & Pack systems, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership position.
Strong understanding of SAP PLM modules and integration with other SAP systems and experience across multiple segments and functions, experience in working on global environment.
Proven track record of managing and leading design phases of large-scale, complex projects IT strategy and governance process.
A proven ability to lead and influence senior leaders and their teams across all segments, all regions and across multiple functions
Good understanding of business process, systems and change management.
Excellent networker easily builds rapport remotely, and experienced in delivering projects through others.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Fluent in English.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Manage pressure with relationship with external digital vendors.
What will be your key responsibilities?
STRATEGY & STEER ON GLOBAL TEMPLATE FOR NEW CAPABILITIES (excluding specification foundation).
Lead the business, in the global development of new Global Cross segment Digital Core PLM capabilities, ensuring integration with existing systems and processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Lead and define the global cPLM capability template:
Drive the Enterprise design squads for those new capabilities to define the global template.
Influence GPOs to identify gap and secure alignment with functional leaders on proposed approach in their segment.
Own vision and long-term strategy of those new Digital capabilities in partnership with DT PLM deployment Leader. Ensure the Digital Core PLM strategic roadmap is aligned with our R&D digitalization roadmaps. Communicate a clear vision and roadmap for the new solution ensure future design meets the evolving needs and maintains best practices in industry, with the support of a Business Integrator partner, the support of a System integrator.
Collaborate with other pillars leaders, segment scope leads to ensure seamless operations throughout pilots.
PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND DIRECTION AND SECURE ALIGNMENT
Within the program and with Corp BAU teams.
Perform effective stakeholder management to gather requirements and define the program scope, objectives, deliverables and plans and to deliver the pilot of new capabilities and the deployment wave on time, on budget.
Apply the 2 in a box model with the DT Director role for new capabilities and leverage the PMO for orchestration, best practices, risks scorecard.
Act as the primary liaison between the design team for new capabilities and for deployment waves, pilot business units, and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Collaborate with segment GPOs to present design concepts, project progress, and seek necessary approvals.
Collaborate with pillar leaders, Corp R&D function, FE managers to ensure seamless operations throughout their design, development, deployment and sustain phase.
Uses perspective and influencing to find common processes with minimum noise between different segments and departments when dealing with escalations & conflict.
Communicate regularly to stakeholders on business value delivered, product update through newsletter, roadmap update.
Collaborate with FE Network and with Corp R&D to define the Sustain model of those new capabilities.
ENABLE TIMELY DECISION AND MAKING EFFECTIVE PROGRAM GOVERNANCE FOR PILOTS of NEW CAPABILITIES for (excluding Specification foundation) and for PROGRAM deployment strategy.
Initiate and lead the cPLM pillar steerco(s) related to new capabilities or to deployment with relevant key members to drive key decisions.
Apply the 2 in a box model with the DT Director role.
Report to the functional leadership of the program the progress and escalate any risk (along with mitigation proposals) to deliver of value on time and on cost.
Work with the appropriate teams to manage the required investment, resources and priorities to support the pilots.
Steer the design for each pilot for new capabilities and ensure the documentation is delivered for end-to-end PLM data & processes & systems, ensuring integration with existing systems and processes.
Oversee the allocation of resources and workload across the team to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Accountable for engaging with FE organization and the R&D systems representative to clarify the deployment and sustain model.
DRIVES CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES
Accountable to deliver the training playbook for new capabilities and the deployment playbooks for that can be handed over to FE to sustain.
Accountable to set the right knowledge management system : forum (CoP with FE), process (R&R), documentation structure (sharepoint), to increase the expertise at the right speed and have it sustain over time.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in PLM and digital transformation.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to seek out and implement process enhancements.
Ensure the PLM digital core product have a healthy continuous improvement process, incident management process & upgrade process in partnership with the DT teams and the FE teams.
Drive innovation by exploring new tools, methodologies, and approaches to enhance the design process.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
Lead, mentor and steer a high-performing team of Subject Matter Experts and leaders.
Ensure proper resources are in place in the team and in other central teams and segments to deliver the scope agreed.
Shape and steer the necessary evolutions required when the scope is evolving or when we move to another phase (deployment operating model, sustain operating model).

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 94.080,00 - USD 129.360,00
