Supervise & coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of warehouse employees who receive, handle, store, record and dispatch goods in the distribution center.

• Monitor warehouse activities to ensure that goods are stored correctly and safely and warehouse space is used effectively.

• Monitor the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and protection of equipment and make recommendations for improvements.

• Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

• Supervise staff to ensure that all warehouse activities, and all machines and equipment are operated, safely.

• Coach, train and motivate warehouse employees in the organization’s operating procedures and standards.

• Demonstrate readiness to make decisions, take initiative and originate actions.

• Responsible for creating the best possible work environment for employees.

• Review all employees of the warehouse, as well as making sure the hour attendance is in place and monitored.

• Facilitate meetings and participate as a member in various projects.

• Manage smaller improvement projects.

• Ensure compliance with regulations, laws and policies.

• Make systematic and rational judgements based upon relevant information.

Job Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge about warehousing on Bachelor level with a degree in e.g. logistics or supply chain management

• A previous position as a supervisor warehouse and proven skills in communication is mandatory

• Project experience, both as a leader as well as a strong member, is an advantage

Critical Skills/technical know-how:

• Fluent written and spoken Dutch and English

• Good communication skills

• Be able to work in an international environment with a lot of internal international contacts

• Knowledge of SAP R/3 is a strong advantage

• Be able to facilitate meetings and participate as a member in various projects

Critical Experience:

• Previous experience (min. 3 years) as a supervisor or similar position is mandatory

• Proven leadership skills and experiences

• Proven communication skills are fundamental

• Be able to carry out both operational tasks as well as questioning them to be able to constantly improve the way we work according to defined processes
