Starting Pay: $17/hr
Pay Increase After Training: $19–$21/hr after completion of a 90‑day training period
Benefits: Full benefits package + 401(k)
Location: Venice, Florida
Schedule:
1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
2nd Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Applicants must be open to working both shifts
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, service‑minded Food Service Associate to join our hospital’s Food & Nutrition team. This position plays a vital role in supporting patient recovery by preparing and delivering nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, portion, and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and patient needs
Deliver meal trays to patient rooms and collect them after service
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and food prep areas
Assist with dishwashing, restocking, and general kitchen duties
Follow all safety, hygiene, and infection‑control procedures
Provide friendly, respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff
Qualifications
Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation (training provided)
Ability to stand, lift, and move throughout the shift
Must be available for both 1st and 2nd shift schedules
