Schedule Options:
5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Note: Applicants must be willing to cover shifts on the opposite schedule. (Team Player)
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in the Venice, FL area is seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to prepare high‑quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in producing nutritious meals, maintaining food‑safety standards, and working within a team‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and portion standards
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and prep areas
Follow all food safety regulations and facility policies
Assist with inventory management, food storage, and receiving deliveries
Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure timely meal service
Adjust recipes or portions based on patient needs or dietary restrictions
Support both scheduled and alternate shifts as required for coverage
Qualifications
Previous cooking or food‑service experience required (healthcare environment preferred)
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing needs
