Part-Time Crane Operator
Schedule: Part-time (hours and days vary based on project needs) Starting pay: $32 an hour based on experience.
Position Summary: The Part-Time Crane Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on job sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and communication to ensure all lifting operations are conducted according to company and OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities: Operate mobile and/or stationary cranes to move materials and equipment as directed. Inspect crane and rigging equipment daily to ensure proper working condition and report any defects or safety concerns. Work closely with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors to coordinate lifts and ensure safe operations. Follow all load charts, lift plans, and site safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance, and operations. Assist with setup, breakdown, and transport of cranes as needed. Perform minor maintenance or cleaning on equipment when required. Support other site operations when crane work is not required.
Qualifications: Valid crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent). Minimum 4 years of crane operation experience Strong knowledge of safety procedures, load charts, and hand signals. Ability to read and follow lift plans and blueprints. Physically able to climb, lift, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
