Description:The Network Engineer responsibilities include:
Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Conducts testing of network design.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Basic Qualifications:
Computer and/or Networking experience
Ability to configure Cisco Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
Must have the Security+ certification or be willing to obtain this cert within 6 months of hire date
Ability to create and modify Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph; must be a U.S. Citizen

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
Microsoft A+ or equivalent computer knowledge
Security+ or higher
Degrees:
- 2 year degree or higher, in a network, computer science, or cybersecurity discipline
Additional knowledge:
- Ability to design Cisco networks
Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
