Bonneville Power Administration Resource and Work Planning Supervisor in Vancouver, Washington
Summary This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Transmission Services, Transmission Infrastructure Asset Management, Project Portfolio Management, Portfolio Execution (TIPE). A successful candidate in the Resource and Work Planning Supervisor position manages the strategic coordination of work plans based on system priorities, including equipment outages to boost productivity and transmission system availability, and balances resources with workload. Responsibilities As a Resource and Work Planning Supervisor, you will: Determines and allocates necessary organizational resources, including staff and funds, and is responsible within the organization for their effective and efficient utilization in support of organizational and functional responsibilities. Establishes annual and longer-range strategic work plans and schedules for in-service and contracted work, independently of or jointly with higher management. Exercises delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work and providing similar oversight of contractors when appropriate. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Leading projects or teams that support effective work planning and scheduling; and 2) developing and implementing solutions to address work planning and scheduling challenges. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
