The Opportunity
Your Impact Starts Here – As a Senior Scheduler, Project Controls supporting our Water & Wastewater team in Calgary, Vancouver or Toronto , you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of the infrastructure that sustains communities. You’ll help teams bring clarity, predictability, and structure to projects that ensure safe, sustainable water systems for generations to come.
The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex schedule to support operational objectives. This role partners with cross functional business sector to actively identify risks, constraints, opportunities.
Your Impact
Develop, maintain, and manage master schedules for projects, operations, or resource planning for engineering and construction projects
Assess, and report on impacts of changes to baseline plan and new forecasted dates within the scheduling tool.
Develop and establish schedule baseline, milestones, and change control processes.
Review impacts on schedule delivery milestones and produce recovery plans to minimize schedule slippages.
Timely identification, notification, resolution, and recording of deviations from the current plan.
Maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) from original estimates within the project schedules and include resource budgets in P6 where required.
Develop and maintain scheduling processes and procedures to promote consistency and efficiency across the portfolio.
Support PCM/PD in bids and proposals on budget preparation, schedule preparation or any other task assigned.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of operational issues and effectively work with and support the project team.
Build scenario models and conduct schedule risk assessments to strengthen forecasting accuracy.
Review delay claims, provide related analysis, and contribute to the development of response letters with sound arguments.
Perform regular earned value analysis to monitor project health and highlight variance.
Prepare and assess the accuracy of internal/external project reports
Review project deliverables to ensure requirements are fulfilled
Review and understand contract documents and agreements to be able to identify tasks/client requests that are within or out of scope.
The Skills That Set You Apart
10 years of progressive scheduling experience in the engineering, construction, or comparable sectors.
A post‑secondary diploma or degree (project management, finance or business preferred)
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, or other planning tools.
Strong understanding of interdependencies across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Experience supporting large, multi‑phase, multi‑stakeholder programs with complex sequencing.
A structured, proactive, and solution‑oriented approach to schedule development and problem‑solving.
A passion for creating clarity, improving systems, and enabling teams to deliver with confidence.
Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and progress measurement.
Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience and knowledge is an asset

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $104,100 – $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,000 – $124,900
