This role is to join Aon’s Forestry Centre Of Excellence, and proven experience in the Natural Resources sector is required. This is primarily an in office role reporting to our Vancouver office, where out forestry practice is centered.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
The salary range for this position is $112,000–$175,000 The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. Aon also offers you a generous incentive earning opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Forestry Centre Of Excellence
Aon’s Forestry group is part of our Natural Resource practice which provides specialized risk and insurance solutions to organizations across the forestry value chain, including timberland owners, logging and hauling operations, forest product manufacturers, and related service providers. The team combines deep sector knowledge with technical risk expertise to help clients address complex property, liability, environmental, and operational risks unique to forestry businesses. As part of this team, you will work closely with forestry clients to understand their operations, develop tailored risk strategies, and deliver insights that support sustainable and resilient growth.
What the day will look like
Each day is unique in this role. The daily work may look like any combination of the following tasks:
Lead and manage the 120‑day renewal process, including reporting, client presentations, binding, policy review and timely delivery
Provide outstanding service to an existing book of business, ensuring all work meets Aon audit and compliance standards
Coordinate and guide the account team, setting client service plans and account strategies that drive value and profitability
Lead negotiations with underwriters and develop innovative, cost‑effective solutions based on client and prospect needs
Deepen relationships with existing clients through cross‑selling and expanding insurance programs
Generate new business by developing prospects, supporting sales and marketing strategies, and building relationships in targeted industries (with a focus on forestry clients)
Represent Aon in the market as a visible, trusted advisor, including active participation in industry events and committees
Collaborate with colleagues in Vancouver and across Canada, and perform other related duties as required

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Our ideal candidate has minimum 5 years commercial risk experience, including demonstrated experience working with natural resource clients or within the forestry sector. They will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences.
Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
Level II license required.
Able to lead a team of brokers, claims advocate and risk control consultant for the client.
Consistent track record of prioritizing tasks under ambitious timelines;
Must have strong digital literacy and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
