ABM Industries General Maintenance Technician II in Vance, Alabama

Overview

Position Summary: The General Maintenance Technician completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.

Schedule: We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

  • Monday - Friday 6AM-2:30PM with Ocassional weekend shift coverage as needed

  • 6AM-4:30PM 12 hour rotating 3/2 schedule.

Pay: $25-27 per hour.

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring plumbing, electrical instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures

• Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities

• Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary

• Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed

• Independently executes multi-trade maintenance supporting asset reliability.

• Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots plumbing and facility issues.

• Completes drywall repairs and medium projects and provides task guidance.

Intermediate Proficiency In: Plumbing systems (troubleshooting leaks, pipe repairs, and fixture replacements), full drywall repairs, large scale painting, floor installation, adjusting doors, conducting preventative maintenance tasks, and ability to work safely from lift as needed.

• Autonomy: Can independently handle most maintenance tasks across systems, requires minimal guidance for complex projects.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• 4-11 years of experience.

• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
