JOB DUTIES: Responsible for supporting the design, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing systems for customers. Specific duties include: (1) planning, scheduling, leading, and prioritizing the building, installation, and RAIL processes; (2) communicating build issues and redlining according to company processes; (3) integrating electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within mechanical assembles; (4) providing mentorship to machine builders and apprentices; (5) leading assembly and installation projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget; (6) assembling, installing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing systems; (7) performing system testing, validation, and optimization to ensure reliable performance and compliance with customer requirements; (8) supporting engineers in root cause analysis and corrective actions for system malfunctions and process inefficiencies; (9) interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and automation control diagrams to support system assembly and debugging; (10) assisting in process development, manufacturing optimization, and documentation of standard operating procedures; (11) supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; (12) providing technical support and guidance to production teams to ensure best practices in automation and safety compliance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field; 1 year of hands-on experience in an automation or manufacturing environment, including specific experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; strong understanding of robotics and PLC programming/troubleshooting.
