Manufacturing Excellence Data Analyst
Valliant, OK
Salary Range ($65,100-$86,800) - Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short–term incentive plan.
This position will report to the Manufacturing Excellence Manager. As this is a newly created role the successful candidate will have to be a self-starter and show value and results quickly by applying the right approach into data management with a large number of different stakeholders across the departments and mill; drive execution of action plans through leadership by influence.
Responsibilities ( include but not limited to):
Collaborate with departments to develop an understanding of needs
Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis
Communicate findings to stakeholders
Enable smarter processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
Structure, develop and optimize data lake and data engines
Keep current with technical and industry developments
Implement analytical models into production by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed to operational systems
Manage databases including Braincube, Simca, and various DA tools
Work with IT Support to insure data delivered to the data analytical tools is accurate and meets the needs of the users
Build and sustain applications and visual management tools
Support data requests from all areas within the mill
Train and develop new powers users
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, Computer Science (CS) or Computer Informational Systems (CIS)
3+ years’ experience in paper industry, preferable at mill level
Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
Experience building and maintaining digital twin, including working with stakeholders to construct model, manage data connectivity and flow, model calibration, and end user interface
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Matlab, Minitab, Microsoft Excel, Advanced Pattern Recognition, PI Data Archive Tools, GE Proficy, etc
Experience with PI, PI AF and Plant Applications
Comfort working in a dynamic, results oriented group with several ongoing concurrent projects
