The DuPont Valley View site is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician with an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
The successful candidate will possess a strong skill set in Solidworks, communication, Microsoft Excel, and will be detail-oriented and self-motivated. This role involves reviewing and creating engineering documentation, supporting various engineering processes, and contributing to project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and create Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure proper documentation of design changes
Manage Test Authorizations and ensure compliance with testing protocols and standards
Familiar with GD&T
Oversee Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure that changes to operations are thoroughly reviewed and documented
Develop and maintain Standard Equipment Instructions (SEIs) to provide clear guidelines for equipment use and maintenance
Maintain and update Process Approval Records (PARs) to document processes and approvals
Collaborate in the development and validation of Test Methods to ensure that they meet project requirements
Provide project support as needed, including data analysis, documentation, and technical assistance
Utilize Solidworks to create and modify engineering drawings and models as needed
Conduct regular updates and communicate progress with project teams and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proficiency in Solidworks for CAD modeling and drafting
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, documentation, and reporting
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software
Experience in a discreet manufacturing environment, particularly with change management processes
Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
Basic understanding of testing methodologies and process documentation
