Description
Things rarely go exactly as planned in logistics. Routes change. Schedules shift. Delays happen. And in the middle of it all, someone needs to keep everything moving — adjusting in real time and making sure nothing falls behind. A logistics company in San Diego is hiring a Dispatcher to coordinate drivers, schedules, and daily operations. This role is fast-paced and requires quick thinking, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You’ll be the central point of coordination between drivers, operations, and customers — ensuring that deliveries stay on track and issues are resolved quickly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Coordinate driver schedules and delivery routes
Monitor shipments and adjust plans as needed
Communicate with drivers and internal teams
Track deliveries and ensure timely completion
Handle issues, delays, and real-time problem solving
Maintain accurate logs and documentation
Support operational efficiency and workflow
Provide updates to customers and teams
Requirements
1–3 years of dispatch, logistics, or operations experience
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable with scheduling systems and tracking tools
Organized and detail-oriented
