Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Valencia, California

Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving financial analysis, reporting enhancements, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in working with large datasets, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support organizational goals.

• Conduct detailed analyses of financial performance, including profit and loss statements, operational metrics, and cost drivers.

• Build and maintain dashboards to monitor key business metrics across sales, operations, and corporate finance.

• Enhance reporting and analytics tools using platforms such as Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, and Access.

• Extract, analyze, and interpret data from enterprise systems, including Datacor, to inform business decisions.

• Perform capital project evaluations, financial modeling, and assessments of strategic initiatives.

• Support mergers and acquisitions (M& A) activities and other company-wide strategic projects.

• Collaborate with operations, sales, and leadership teams to identify trends and recommend improvement opportunities.

• Streamline and automate financial reporting processes and workflows for greater efficiency.

• Present financial insights and actionable recommendations to management and guide best practices within the FP& A team.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in FP& A or financial analysis roles.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex formulas.

• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Access for data visualization and workflow automation.

• Experience working with enterprise systems like Datacor, with an ability to analyze large datasets.

• Strong understanding of financial statements, including profit and loss (P& L) analysis.

• Background in chemical, manufacturing, distribution, or water treatment industries is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
