Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to lead safety and environmental compliance within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and promote a culture of safety and operational excellence across the plant.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in a manufacturing environment, understands production operations, and is comfortable working on the plant floor with supervisors and frontline employees.
This position will be required to maintain the Environmental Health & Safety Manager Role of both Blue Ops locations. This includes Valdosta, Ga facility as well as the West Palm Beach, Florida facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including standards from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), EPA, and state/local agencies
Maintain and manage required permits, reporting, and documentation
Lead regulatory inspections and serve as the primary contact for external agencies
Manage environmental programs including air emissions, stormwater, waste handling, hazardous materials, and chemical storage
Safety Leadership & Risk Management
Develop, implement, and continuously improve site safety programs
Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and safety audits
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions
Track and report key safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses)
Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Machine Guarding, PPE, and other critical programs
Training & Engagement
Develop and deliver safety training for new hires, supervisors, and leadership
Lead safety committee meetings and drive employee engagement initiatives
Promote behavior-based safety and continuous improvement culture on the plant floor
Emergency Preparedness
Lead emergency response planning and drills
Manage OSHA Logs
Coordinate with local emergency responders as needed

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental regulations
Experience leading audits, inspections, and compliance programs
Proven ability to influence plant leadership and hourly workforce
Travel to Blue Ops Valdosta, Georgia and West Palm Beach, Florida facilities
Additional Desired Qualifications
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification
Professional certification such as Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or equivalent.
OSHA General Industry 30 Hour Certification
Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems
Experience coordinating with federal or state safety agencies.
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Familiarity with safety data analytics or safety management systems (SMS).
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and move throughout production and office environments for inspections or incident response.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Flexible availability during off-hours or emergencies as required.
Ability to travel long distances between the Valdosta, Ga facility and the West Palm Beach, Fl facility.
