This position requires an employee to be onsite at 3200 Labore Rd, Ste 104, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our DCT Finance Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as the Revenue Cycle Director! As the Revenue Cycle Director, you will be an agency leader reporting to the DCT Chief Financial Officer. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing DCT’s revenue cycle activities and work collaboratively with others to optimize healthcare delivery, improve patient care, meet regulatory requirements and ensure operational efficiency.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all revenue cycle activities and functions included but not limited to prior authorization, charge master maintenance, provider enrollment, patient billing, collections, coding, claims denial management, quality assurance and compliance

  • Develop key performance indicators based on industry best practice.

  • Ongoing development of strategic relations with all DCT programs

  • Lead strategic policy and procedure updates to reflect industry and regulatory changes and assure alignment with DCT’s Mission, Vision and Values and strategic goals and objectives.

  • Coordination of all patient accounting and receivables information required by the Minnesota Management & Budget, the Office of the Legislative Auditor and other regulatory agencies, including the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

  • Promoting a professional work environment and teamwork within the Revenue Cycle Team of DCT.

Minimum Qualifications

To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experience sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.

Five (5) years of Revenue Cycle Management experience within healthcare business operations that includes managing programs and strategic planning. At least three (3) years must be supervisory experience assigning priorities, managing and developing staff and implementing improvements. Experience must demonstrate:

  • Experience with payor policies and guidelines, compliance, coding, prior authorizations, accounts receivables, contracting, credentialing and/or analytics.

  • Implementing and overseeing financial systems.

  • Inpatient/outpatient billing practices and collections.

  • Communicating complex financial concepts to various stakeholders.

  • Extensive analytical skillset with a high level of Microsoft Excel reporting capabilities.

Please note: A master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field substitutes for 18 months of Revenue Cycle Management experience; a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field substitutes for 12 months of Revenue Cycle Management experience; an associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field substitutes for 6 months of Revenue Cycle Management experience.

And

Demonstrated leadership experience: Leadership experience can include:

  • Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead;

  • Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);

  • A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. Employee Resource Group) - experience must include:

  • 1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions.

  • 100+ hours per year time commitment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, or related field.

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Standards and Principles (GAAP) for both non-profit and governmental systems.

  • Training as a Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CPCR), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), or Certified Payment and Reimbursement (CSPR) .
