Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
As a Service Technician, you will perform repairs to mobile office trailers, including framing and finish carpentry, electrical work, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and other facets of modular building repair. You will engage in light carpentry, electrical work, and some HVAC duties, ensuring that trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates. Additionally, you will maintain proper inventory levels of all equipment/tools/parts needed for service tasks, keep a clean and organized work area, and provide courteous customer service over the phone and in person. Safety is paramount, as you will maintain a safe work environment and practice safe work habits per company policies.
Responsibilities
Conduct repairs on mobile office trailers, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
Maintain inventory levels and a clean work area.
Ensure trailers are ready for delivery and perform service-related tasks in the yard.
Provide customer service by explaining repairs and services.
Conduct service calls in assigned branch territories.
Attend bi-monthly safety meetings and perform system checks on HVAC systems.
Assist in ordering and unloading materials.
Operate forklifts and perform office maintenance and repair.
Essential Skills
No experience needed, but interest in construction and working with hand tools is required.
Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills for customer interaction.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
HVAC experience is a plus.
Some computer knowledge is necessary.
Forklift operation experience.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a clean and organized yard environment. The team works on one modular at a time, either in a refurbished modular or one that holds tools. Production typically takes 30-35 hours per modular, aiming for completion of one per week based on client needs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
