Job Description
Manage the supplier portfolio for the plant’s specific categories within SAM (Safety and Motion).
Analyze price adjustment requests and conduct negotiations to ensure the most competitive pricing for the company.
Identify opportunities for cost reductions, aiming to achieve the financial targets established in the budget.
Support the implementation of changes requested by the Engineering and Quality departments.
Assist the advanced purchasing team by conducting negotiations during the sourcing process and nominating suppliers for plant-specific commodities and categories.
Develop new suppliers for plant-specific commodities.
Prepare NSI (New Supplier Introduction) documentation and monitor progress until the action plan is fully completed, where applicable.
Ensure compliance with VDA 6.3 when an NSI (New Supplier Introduction) is approved, guaranteeing supply quality.
Participate in logistics and quality discussions when scheduled, representing the commercial area and contributing to business-focused solutions.
Follow the Global Automotive Procurement Process.
Join alignment meetings with global category teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields
Fluent English
Previous experience in the role
