Aerotek Cnc Operator- 2nd Shift in Utica, Michigan
Job Title: CNC Operator Job Description
We are a leading manufacturer of precision-formed powertrain components for the automotive and industrial sectors. As we continue to expand, we are seeking dedicated CNC Operators for our 2nd and 3rd shifts to meet increasing production demands. Our facility houses 49 CNC machines where operators are expected to produce between 500 and 1,100 parts per shift.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines efficiently and accurately to meet production targets.
Conduct machine offsets and changeovers, assisting other operators and machinists as needed.
Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges for precise measurement and quality control.
Ensure safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain workflow.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 6 months CNC operating experience, preferably in a lathe and high-volume production environment.
Proficiency in machine operation and understanding of manufacturing processes.
Experience with PLEX software.
Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.
Strong coachability and positive attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in an automotive setting is preferred.
Basic knowledge of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) is advantageous.

Work Environment
Our facility is brand new, clean, and well-lit, providing a climate-controlled environment. Shifts are from 3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am. Operators start with training on the 1st shift for one to four weeks and receive a 5% shift premium upon transitioning to 2nd or 3rd shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Utica, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
