Welcome to Parker Industrial Process Filtration
At Parker’s Industrial Process Filtration Division, we collaborate with our customers to offer filtration solutions for complex contaminant management issues. Our aim is to enhance product quality and safeguard critical equipment against maintenance issues and downtime.
The Industrial Process Filtration Division directly supports North America. In addition, IPF works with our global Parker Hannifin regional entities to leverage IPF products across the globe.
POSITION SUMMARY
Assist in location engineering activities that support design or process improvement of the business unit. Be a driving force for continuous improvement for the facility while working with all levels of the organization. Interns will be provided with training and mentorship that will translate to real-world skills and experiences. 20 – 40 hours per week.
Responsible for the assistance of determining and developing production processes for manufacturing operations - to drive the reduction of non-value-added activity and support improved process flow through improved design of equipment and methods.
Evaluate existing processes and configure manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve safety and sustainability, and develop best practices within the production process
Ensures plant is actively engaged in Continuous Improvement activities and driving sustainable results
Acquiring knowledge of various engineering department operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow
Performing other related responsibilities.
Qualifications
Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
At minimum, an Undergraduate Engineering student entering Junior year
Ability to work MS Office, CAD (SolidWorks) experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently
Blue print reading and technical report writing
Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement
