Job Overview
TE Connectivity is seeking a Senior Manager for Manufacturing & Process Development Engineering - Power Cables for our Digital Data Networks business unit. The Sr. MPDE Manager will lead a team of process development and automation engineers tasked with developing assembly processes for power cable assemblies and coordinating with the manufacturing engineering team on the transition to mass production.
This position will be located remotely in the US.
Job Requirements
Allocate and balance the work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team to achieve targeted performance and retain key talent.
Lead a team of engineers who will:
Develop power cable assembly manufacturing process in accordance with LEANPD product development.
Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods.
Strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control.
Support Product Development in the optimization designs (DFM) and piece parts for manufacturability; realizes sample tooling, product samples and prototypes.
Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE DDN quality and production standards.
Support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.
Act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.
Maintain communication with project management team to understand current and future strategic business needs
Prioritize and time manage a portfolio of projects/work efforts based on criticality and business need
Provide readouts to Director and VP level cross function management as necessary
Work with Mexico operations team to assign resources necessary for the successful execution of new product development
Facilitate and coordinate cross-function communication across globally matrixed organizations
What your background should look like
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical - related majors, and 13+ years’ related experience including 8+ years related, managerial-level experience in multinational manufacturing sites
Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma. etc. industrial methods/tools
Experience in power cable assembly industry, preferred
Fluent in English, with good presentation skills
Familiar with MS software
Familiar with industrial specification (i.e. IPC 620)
Familiar with Stamping / Plating / Molding / Assembly processes

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $158,600 – $237,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
