Honeywell Machinist - Level 2 (2nd shift) in Urbana, Ohio
Machinist - Level 2
You will report directly to our Production Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location on a 2nd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1 AM.
In this role, you will impact the production line by ensuring the timely and accurate manufacturing of components, which is critical to meeting customer demands and maintaining our reputation for quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate CNC machines and other equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining operations.
Assemble, repair and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units. Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a machinist or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Experience with precision measuring tools and techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on machining equipment.
WE VALUE
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in machining.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Special Considerations: Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.
