Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Swimming Pool Service Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you\'ll service a route of residential and/or commercial pools, performing openings/closings, routine maintenance, chemical balancing, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal water quality and equipment function. This is an outdoor, physical job that offers variety, independence, and the chance to work in a growing industry. Key Responsibilities Drive a company-provided vehicle to customer locations on an assigned route. Perform routine pool cleaning: skim debris, brush walls/floors, vacuum pools, empty skimmer baskets and pump baskets. Test and balance pool water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, etc.) and add appropriate chemicals safely. Inspect, clean, and maintain pool equipment including filters, pumps, heaters, chlorinators, lights, and automation systems. Identify and troubleshoot issues; perform minor repairs (e.g., fix leaks, replace lights, repair cracks, change filters). Conduct seasonal openings and closings (winterizing/de-winterizing pools). Maintain accurate service records, report issues to customers professionally, and recommend additional services when needed. Keep the company vehicle stocked with necessary chemicals, tools, and equipment; ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous materials. Provide friendly, professional customer service and represent the company positively. Requirements & Qualifications Previous experience as a pool service technician, maintenance tech, or similar role (12+ years preferred; training available for motivated candidates). Strong knowledge of swimming pool systems, water chemistry, and equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, etc.). Valid driver\'s license with clean driving record (company vehicle provided). Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, carrying equipment). Comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively on routes. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Certification in pool operation/maintenance (e.g., CPO Certified Pool Operator) is a plus but not required. Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented with a positive attitude.
