The Assistant Project Manager supports the successful delivery of a high-profile, multi-year stadium renovation project by coordinating documentation, managing project processes, and assisting with day-to-day project activities. This role focuses on interior construction projects, including private, federal, and local government contracts, and involves close collaboration with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager with various construction projects for private, federal, and local government clients, primarily focused on interior contracts up to $1.8M in value.
Oversee and coordinate an assigned area of the stadium renovation project, ensuring work aligns with project goals, schedule, and quality standards.
Create, maintain, and manage submittal logs, transmittals, change orders, project directories, and other project documentation to support smooth project execution.
Provide comprehensive document and paperwork support, including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
Manage and support various contracts and vendor relationships, helping to ensure scope, schedule, and deliverables are clearly defined and met.
Interact regularly with superintendents and field staff to gather information from the job site, track progress, and address issues as they arise.
Adapt and apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize project performance and efficiency.
Assist with scheduling tasks, including monitoring project timelines and coordinating activities to support on-time completion.
Support the handling of project financials as needed, which may include assisting with cost tracking, change order pricing, and budget-related documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure clear, consistent communication and alignment on project objectives.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned to support project and business needs.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed based on evolving business and client requirements.
Essential Skills
Proven experience supporting high-profile construction projects, preferably within commercial or stadium environments.
Strong project management and construction management experience, with a focus on commercial construction.
Hands-on experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other core construction document management processes.
Proficiency in construction document management, including organizing, tracking, and maintaining project records and logs.
Experience with schedule management and construction management software tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and clients.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with field personnel and office staff to support project goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on interior construction projects for private, federal, or local government clients.
Background in project coordination, project engineering, or a related construction support role.
Familiarity with commercial construction practices, processes, and terminology.
Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to improve project performance.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing project documentation and workflows.
Work Environment
This role is primarily site-based on a large, multi-year stadium renovation project. You will work on location alongside a substantial project team and a large number of field and support personnel. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with active construction activities and collaboration between multiple stakeholders and joint venture partners. Work involves regular interaction with superintendents, field staff, and office-based project team members, as well as frequent engagement with construction documentation, scheduling tools, and construction management software.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
