As part of the Grid Systems Integration Business Line, we deliver integrated project solutions that enable large-scale electrification and support our customers’ evolving needs.
Standardization, lead time, and cost reduction are key pillars in supporting our global growth, aligned with customer SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) expectations and financial targets.
The Business Line Lean Operations Leader is responsible for driving the strategic deployment and operational execution of the Lean roadmap across the Business Line. This role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring sustainable business impact within a complex, project-driven environment.
Roles& Responsibilities:
Lean Roadmap Deployment
Lead the deployment and operationalization of the Business Line Lean Roadmap, including Hoshin Kanri priorities, improvement projects, and Kaizen events.
Ensure continuous improvement initiatives deliver measurable and sustainable business impact.
Drive effective preparation and execution of Kaizen events to maximize outcomes and long-term sustainability.
Promote cross-regional and cross–Product Delivery Group collaboration to share best practices and align with overall Business Line priorities, including financial and SQDC targets.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Culture
Drive Lean continuous improvement through structured methodologies such as Kaizen and Hoshin Kanri.
Embed Lean principles (e.g., 5S, Standard Work, Daily Management) into daily operations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging employees at all levels.
Build and sustain a strong Lean mindset across the organization.
Capability Building & Coaching
Coach and develop regional and Product Delivery Group Lean Leaders to achieve targets and uphold Lean standards.
Promote and strengthen Business Process Kaizen practices.
Design and deliver training programs based on Lean competency assessments.
Ensure effective application of Lean tools through hands-on coaching and guidance
Lean Community & Engagement
Establish, grow, and lead a global Lean Champion community.
Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous learning across regions and teams.
Create engagement mechanisms to support idea generation and employee involvement.
Performance Management & Governance
Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with Lean objectives.
Drive accountability through structured performance reviews and follow-up.
Encourage and support leaders in conducting Gemba walks to identify improvement opportunities.
Sustaining Lean Transformation
Monitor the effectiveness of Lean initiatives and ensure long-term sustainability.
Conduct regular reviews of Lean practices and maturity levels across regions and Product Delivery Groups.
Recognize and celebrate achievements to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field; MBA is a plus.
Significant experience in business operations within a project-based environment, with a proven track record in continuous improvement.
Strong influencing and communication skills, with experience working in large, matrixed, and cross-cultural organizations.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and inspire teams, with a leadership style grounded in humility, transparency, and accountability.
Proven capability to “go to Gemba” and effectively analyze processes to drive improvements.
Cross-functional experience in areas such as Project Management, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, and/or Quality is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies; hands-on Kaizen facilitation experience is highly desirable.
Solid business and financial acumen.
Travel up to 50% to support global deployment and on-site engagement.
