Universal Television Entertainment is responsible for world-class television entertainment. The division programs and markets content across leading entertainment brands Bravo, NBC and Peacock, and produces over 3,000 hours of television annually through Universal Studio Group, the studio business comprised of Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios and Universal Television Alternative Studio. Together, these teams align NBCUniversal’s content and production expertise to inspire global audiences with television that entertains and shapes culture.
The Coordinator, Publicity will handle administrative duties and assist in supporting earned media campaigns for the NBC/Peacock Scripted publicity team.
Responsibilities:
Perform administrative duties, such as calendar scheduling, booking travel and glam, drafting itineraries, processing invoices, preparing expense reports, reconciling P-cards, among others
Prepare and manage programming/PR team calendars
Function as administrative liaison to departmental staff, external vendors, and consultants
Maintain/update press contact database and additional internal lists
Prepare internal and external distributions and correspondence
Maintain/update our press site, Media Village
Support Communications team on series campaigns
Assist with talent relations needs including booking travel, booking hair/make-up, drafting itineraries, internal and external gifting, among others
Track team and series budget, maintaining alignment with finance partners
Track press coverage and compile press coverage reports, campaign recaps and team status documents
Maintain talent show sheets, including updating talent information along with their representatives
Assist publicists in drafting announcements, briefing materials, and messaging documents, and corresponding with internal and external partners
Brainstorm media pitches, research press contacts, and stay up to date on entertainment landscape and trends
Work and facilitate press events including premiere events, festivals, award shows etc. and available to travel and/or work evenings/weekends as needed
Develop and maintain positive relationships with talent, producers, public relations agencies and representatives, agents, managers, production staff, media, and programming executives
Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
Help with the onboarding process for any new members of the Communications team
Basic Requirements:
1+ year of public relations experience, including internships
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree
Positive attitude with a passion and desire to learn entertainment publicity
Ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects while remaining cool under pressure
Detail-oriented and proactive with an eagerness to learn and take on new tasks
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
