Assist in inventory and storing food and supplies as necessary. . Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties within the food service department. . Assist in serving meals, coffee, beverages, and special items on a timely basis. . Assist in always maintaining food storage areas in a clean and orderly manner. . Clean worktables, refrigerators/freezers, stove, and appliances as directed. . Sweep and mop floors as directed; clean up spills immediately. . Prepare the dining room for next meal and ensure safe and clean environment; clean up food and debris after meals. . Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures; assure that utensils, etc., are ready for the next meal. . Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed. . Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the department. . Assure that safety and health regulations are always followed. . Report any complaints to supervisor. . Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the supervisor immediately. . Assist in food preparation for special meals or parties and special occasions. . Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent resident information to assure resident rights are protected. . Report all work-related accidents immediately. . Move heavy boxes and pots up to 50 lbs. . Transport food carts to various locations in a safe and proper manner. . Wear proper work attire including hairnets. . Practice safe working habits.
