Job Description: LANDSCAPE LABORER. 3 Temporary/Full-time seasonal positions available with JSCAPES DESIGN & INSTALLATION from 04/01/2026-11/01/2026. Duties include Maintain grounds of residential, commercial, or public properties using hand tools and power equipment. Work is performed under close supervision of a crew leader. Duties may include any of the following: Lay sod, mow, trim, edge, and water lawns and ground level trees; Plant, prune, weed, fertilize, mulch, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and other vegetation; Dig, rake, and prepare soil for planting; Install or maintain sprinkler and irrigation systems, including winterizing and start-up; Assist in installation of decorative features such as retaining walls, patios, walkways, and rock gardens using mortarless interlocking blocks or pavers, drainage systems, irrigation systems, or planters; Gather and remove litter, leaves, and debris from grounds and work areas; Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, hedge trimmers, and axes; Operate power equipment such as lawn mowers, edgers, blowers, weed trimmers, chainsaws, and sod cutters; Spray or spread commercial fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides under supervision;
Follow landscape plans to determine layout of sod, plants, and decorative elements; Mulch, aerate, de-thatch, and edge around flower beds, sidewalks, and driveways; Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment to and from worksites; Maintain clean tools, vehicles, and work areas at the end of each workday; Worker will be exposed to weather, outdoors, noise, hot/cold temperatures and will need to wear common protective/safety equipment. The job will require the worker to have integrity and attention to detail, and be thorough in completing work tasks, cooperative, and responsible. Entry level; Requires supervision. The worker will perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a driver's license.
Will daily transportation be provided?: Yes. The centralized pick-up location will be at the designated worker housing site. Workers are responsible for arranging their daily transportation to and from this pick-up location. The employer will then provide each work crew with transportation to and between the various worksite locations each day.
Provision of Board/Lodging or Other Facilities: Yes. Employer intends to assist foreign and non-local U.S. workers hired pursuant to this job order to secure worker-paid lodging not to exceed reasonable fair market value
cost based on number of occupants.
Is On-the-Job Training available?: Yes. The employer will provide on-site on-the-job training to all workers.
The employer guarantees to offer work for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period, beginning with the first workday after the
arrival of the worker at the place of employment and ending on the expiration date specified in this job order or its extension, if any. The employer may include all hours actually worked as well as any hours offered consistent with the job order that a worker chooses to not work, up to the maximum number of daily hours on the job order.
