Associate Director of Admissions – Two Positions
Kean University is seeking applicants for two positions within the Office of University Admissions: Associate Director of Admissions – Freshman and Associate Director of Admissions – Transfer (both at the Associate Director 3 level). Under the supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Associate Directors manage all aspects of the admission and recruitment processes for either freshman applicants or transfer applicants, including recruitment plans, recruitment coverage, application processes, application file review and supervision of unit staff. The Associate Director of Admissions – Transfer will also manage transfer credit evaluation processes.
Both Associate Directors are key members of the Admissions team who work in collaboration with other managers within the division to provide essential recruitment, admission, and marketing outreach in order to achieve enrollment goals. Positions require travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. These are not remote positions and employees are expected to work on site at one of the Kean campus locations. Employees in the Office of University Admissions may also work on site at community colleges, high schools or other locations in-person for student recruitment and related activities.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; two years of professional experience in admissions in higher education; a valid driver’s license; and transportation for recruitment travel are required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Essential job functions include driving and the ability to lift, handle and transport recruitment materials and equipment over short and long distances. Traveling will require the ability to drive for short and extended periods of time. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills and the ability to represent the University at events and programs; and knowledge of computer databases, information systems and new technologies, including social media, virtual platforms and higher education CRM systems (experience with Ellucian and Slate is a plus).

In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for these positions is: $90,000 to $108,000. These positions may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance. Employment at Kean requires working at any of our New Jersey campus locations or affiliated work sites, which may include, but not be limited to: the main campus in Union; Kean Ocean in Toms River; Kean Skylands in Jefferson Township; Kean Jersey City; Kean at Brookdale in Middletown Township; Manahawkin; Princeton; and Trenton. Location assignments will be based on operational and university needs. Faculty may also be assigned to teach online classes for Kean Global.
