JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove (WVHUG) is seeking a Registered Dietitian, to provide nutrition services for members. The Home is a 24/7/365 skilled nursing, long-term care facility that specializes in providing comfort, support, and professional healthcare services to elderly or disabled veterans and their spouses. The facility is in Racine County, a short drive from Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and other key locations in southeastern Wisconsin. Come lead our dedicated Nursing Services team! The Dietitian-Clinical provides nutrition services to the residents (members) of WVHUG, a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include regularly assessing members\' nutritional statuses; developing and implementing nutrition care plans; participating in interdisciplinary care conferences; ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations; providing individualized or group nutrition education; participating in performance improvement efforts; and providing support and guidance to Nutrition & Dining Services management staff. The Registered Dietitian works AM shift Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a caregiver background check prior to an offer of employment. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
