WISCONSIN DEPT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Nurse Clinician 2 LTE (RN) in UNION GROVE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove (WVHUG) is recruiting for a/an Nurse Clinician 2 (RN), to join our dedicated Nursing team. The Home is a 24/7/365 long-term care facility that provides comfort, support, and professional healthcare services to elderly or disabled veterans and their spouses. Our facility is in Racine County, a short drive from Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and other key locations in southeastern Wisconsin. Our Nurse Clinician 2\'s are responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to a mostly geriatric and/or disabled population. The incumbent provides direction to other staff in the provision and coordination of member care and monitors care given by other health team members on a unit, floor, or in a building. All activities are performed in accordance with applicable industry standards of practice, facility policies/procedures, and state and federal rules and regulations. These are flexible part-time positions with the option to pick up additional hours as desired with no required overtime. Shifts are available AM, PM, NOC, holidays and weekends. Candidate preferences gathered at time of interview. LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits. Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
