Job Title: Field Technician Job Description
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for washing utility trucks, running diagnostics, and ensuring they are safe for operation. You will work on both customer and company-owned equipment, performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. You will also inspect components to maximize parts reuse and control repair costs, complete necessary documentation using appropriate software, and monitor job expenses against repair estimates.
Responsibilities
Wash utility trucks and run diagnostics to ensure they are road-ready.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on customer or company-owned equipment.
Inspect components to ensure maximum parts reuse to control repair costs.
Complete required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs and account for repair times.
Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and inform the supervisor of any cost overruns before job completion.
Essential Skills
Experience with utility trucks, bucket trucks, and diesel engines.
Proficiency in automotive repair and upfitting.
Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Competence in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with aerial equipment.
Familiarity with software for documenting repairs and accounting for repair times.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
