Overview\ 1. Assist assigned special education students to acquire skills to function within technical areas (culinary) as independently as possible. Provide support in the culinary cafeteria\ 2.Assist special education students with transition throughout the facility, including entering and exiting special education vehicles, regular transportation training, and emergencies.\ 3.Assist program staff in the preparation of learning materials and provide class coverage under the direction of the Director.\ 4.Assist program staff in clerical classroom tasks concerning assigned students.\ 5.Provide one-to-one/small group tutorial instruction with direction from the program staff.\ 6.Attend meetings and submit written reports on assigned students as requested by the program staff.\ 7.Other related assignments as designated by the Director of Special Education.\ Organizational Relationships:\ 1.Responsible to Director of Special Education and assigned program staff.\ 2.Must work cooperatively with special and regular education staff, service providers, consultants, and administration.\ Qualifications\ - Associate\'s degree or equivalent preferred. Experience and/or training in Special Education preferred.\ - Work experience with teenagers is preferred.\ - Strong interpersonal skills.
