What would your day look like?
As a Truss Assembler, you are primarily responsible for assembling light-gauge steel trusses, but this opportunity also includes potential roles as a Sawyer, Catcher, and Stacker.
Responsibilities:
- Stage precut material and screws for assembly
- Set up the jig and position the precut material by hand for precise placement
- Connect all joints by sinking screws with a handheld screw gun and/or screw gantry
- May label, band, and stand finished trusses upright
- May operate a band saw to cut material to specifications
- May catch, stack, and label cut material
Knowledge and skills preferred for the position are:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to read atape measure accurately to 1/16 of an inch
- Experience in carpentry, framing, and/ormanufacturing
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Positive attitude and desire to work in a team- orientedenvironment
- Reliableand consistent attendance
