Card Finishing Machine Operator V- 3rd Shift Job Summary: The Dual-Interface Card Line (DICL) Operator is a skilled position that requires set-up, operation, and high-level troubleshooting of a DICL production machine. The machine process produces finished dual-interface and ID-1 chip cards. The operator is required to monitor product quality throughout production to ensure that the critical product and process quality requirements are met during production. The operator is required to track and account for incoming and finished production quantities. The operator will be expected to operate the machine within safety requirements at all times. The operator will be expected to achieve specified production throughput requirements and to do so within specified reject rate limits for every production run. The DICL operator reports and escalates to the Machine Lead/Lead Hand and Supervisor for any machine issues that have an impact on meeting hourly and daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Job Duties: Attend any and all required production staff daily meetings. Consult the specified production schedule, lead/lead hand, and/or supervisor for daily shift production responsibilities. Obtain and/or verify the presence of all necessary production materials, tooling, and documentation prior to starting production. Obtain production sign-off by lead/lead hand or supervisor prior to starting production. Perform safety checks on the assigned machine. Operate assigned machines withing specified safety requirements at all times. Read, understand, and reference product dimensional drawings with tolerances. Identify, verify, and load the correct production job files into the machine prior to starting production. Notify the Lead Hand/Manager if there is conflict. Perform and/or verify the correct machine/process set-ups at the beginning of every production shift. Identify and load the correct process parameter and camera inspection programs on the machine based on the production job specifications. Load/unload production material into/from the production machine. Install and replace milling bits within the machine and monitor their performance. Measure, install and replace conductive soldering paste within the machine. Monitor the production process outputs values to ensure they remain within control limits; adjust specified process offsets when necessary. Perform visual product quality inspections throughout the production run with reference to a defect catalog to identify aesthetic and/or potentially function product quality defects. Perform the required in-process product quality tests at specified intervals during production. Troubleshoot problems during machine operation and resolve process issues, partner with Shift Lead as needed. (Eg. Change Electrical Pins, change suction cups, cleaning weld stamps and adjusting sensors, Machine offsets, Milling Offsets, Dosing offsets) Perform rework of production material when and where necessary. Mathematically account for (balance) all incoming/outgoing production material during your production shift. Perform audits and quality checks (Ensures that the chip reel balance sheets are properly logged and audited at the end of each shift. Production Orders are properly being filled out and confirmed systematically). Clean the machine, account for all tooling, and maintain a 5S work environment daily. Ensure stocks of needed consumables materials are ready and available at all times. Create and maintain activity logs. Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors. Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates. From time to time might be required to operate a machine when the need arises.
