Midwest Trenchless Services, LLC Foreman/Directional Drill Locator in Twin Lake, Michigan
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking underground utilities, pipelines, and other critical infrastructure on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to ensure efficient project progress and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate locating equipment to monitor the drill head's position, depth, and angle in real-time.
- Prevent strikes on existing underground utilities by accurately locating them and communicating the bore path to the drill crew.
- Communicate with the drill operator and other crew members to ensure the bore path stays on target.
- Set up and calibrate locating equipment, and ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Conduct pre-job site surveys to identify potential obstacles and ensure all utilities are accounted for.
