Job Description
General Purpose
Under direction, support the planning and forecasting process for a division, group, plant, and/or platform. Support the day-to-day financial activities of the finance department as related to financial reporting, budgeting, inventory and month-end close duties, expense analysis, operational metrics, and forecasting activities. Partner with senior team members or operations areas to understand financial impacts and to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting and analysis.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze reports for the business unit and ensure that all business unit financial reporting is accurate according to currently accepted financial practices
Review and consolidate KPI report
Assist with financial analysis and capacity activities
Provide support data to be used in financial analysis
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Perform month-end close duties as required including reporting on sales and input costs
Provide support with budget and forecast activities
Generate and support key business performance metrics
Leverage systems, reports, data, and excel to build analytical models
Participate on cross-functional teams and collaborate with others to complete financial activities, as needed
Input and/or review the input of production data into spreadsheets, databases, and/or systems
Develop and/or maintain production reports, files, and other documents
Maintain accurate reconciliation of inventories
Review and confirm process orders and report variances
Assists various departments on corrections or troubleshooting on SAP processes
Prepare training aides for various departments and assist in training team members on SAP
Maintain and verify inventory levels by distributing count sheets and reporting on inventory adjustments
Inspect data for discrepancies, investigate discrepancies, and resolve and/or notify supervisor

Requirements
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
0 to 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related discipline
Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Superior SAP program knowledge
Knowledge of the principles and practices of financial planning and analysis and general accounting principles
Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
Able to provide timely, high quality and comprehensive information
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels, and external stakeholders
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Able to multi-task, prioritize work activities, and meet deadlines
Able to adapt to changing operational needs
Able to maintain confidentiality of information
Must be able to read, write and speak English
