QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Graduate degree in Nursing, unencumbered nursing license to practice in the state of Mississippi, certification, a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse, other qualifications and experience mandated by the programmatic accreditor. Faculty must meet eligibility requirements for all clinical facilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Instructor
· Plan, organize and instruct courses assigned, devoting to this primary task the instructor's best professional effort
· Review course objectives periodically and instructional strategies to meet those objectives
· Prepare and distribute a current course syllabus as required by College policy
· Participate in the selection of the textbooks and submit request for textbooks and other material needed for instruction
· Maintain and accurately complete records as required
· Arrive at the classroom sufficiently in advance of classes to adequately prepare instructional space and material for organized instruction
· Counsel and advise students regarding up-to-date academic matters, those relating to student success and college services
· Schedule and maintain office hours in accordance with College policy
· Participate in staff meetings and other College activities, serve on committees
· Maintain professional growth and development to foster and create scholarly production according to College and personal needs
· Maintain professional working relationship with students, fellow faculty members, administration and staff, adhering to the highest standards of respect for the rights of others
· Participate in program evaluation
· Provide quality clinical instruction and supervision. Function in the clinical simulation laboratory during scheduled hours of operation, assisting student utilization of learning opportunities, including planning, coordination and implementing simulation experiences for students enrolled in clinical courses.
· Participate in the review, evaluation and revision of curriculum as needed
· Be available to sponsor student academic-related activities (e.g., clubs, organizations, events, etc.)
· Participate in community and professional service activities and serve in selected activities as the need arises
· Develop and recommend class schedules cooperatively with other departments and divisions of the College
· Identify and recommend equipment needed for the program
· Maintain a current inventory of equipment assigned to the program
