General Description:\ The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is an hourly position reporting to the Maintenance\ Supervisor. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all aspects of facility\ maintenance. This position requires an individual with in-depth knowledge of general\ maintenance and requires performing duties with little to no supervision. Dependability\ and attention to detail are required characteristics. The maintenance work environment\ involves the handling of hazardous chemicals. The ability to use a personal respirator is\ required. The physical demands of this position may involve standing for extended peri-\ ods as well as frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs. (unassisted).
Primary Responsibilities:
Achieve daily and job specific goals
Provide maintenance support to other departments
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to production and facilities
equipment
Install new, or relocate existing, equipment with all required utilities, including water,
compressed air, electrical (three phase), steam, hydraulic, and vacuum.
Practice safe and efficient work habits
Direct maintenance mechanics and maintenance operators as required
Utilize REDARs CMMS platform, including the use of tablets and other electronic de-
vices\ \ Education and Experience Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent
Able to read, write, and understand company written procedures
Basic computer skills such as Microsoft office
Minimum 10 years experience in industrial maintenance including knowledge in trou-
bleshooting equipment and systems, plumbing, steam, hydraulics, pneumatics, me-\ chanics, pumps, some welding and basic electrical
? Must be able to read and understand equipment manuals, blueprints and hydrau-\ lic/pneumatic schematics
? Certifications (or the ability to certify) in one or more of the following are required:\ o HVAC (Universal)\ o Welding\ o Commercial or Industrial Electrical\ o Instrumentation, or I&E

Respirator Use Requirement\ Certain areas within the department may require the use of a respirator due to opera-\ tional or environmental conditions. In accordance with safety regulations and proper\ respirator fit standards, employees assigned to these areas must be clean-shaven\ where the respirator seals to the face. This requirement ensures the effectiveness of the\ equipment and the safety of the operator.
Special Tasks and Focus Areas:

o Complete jobs on time as assigned by Maintenance Planner, Supervisor, Facili-\ ties Engineer, or the Chief Facilities Engineer
? Provide maintenance support to other departments\ o Respond to production requirements
o Adjust priorities to ensure critical operations experi nce minimal downtime\ o Recognize and correct, repair, or report facility or equipment problems inde-
pendently
o Communicate with area management as to status of maintenance work
order(s)
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to production and facilities
equipment\ o Conduct preventive maintenance\ o Exercise knowledge of mechanical systems, steam systems, hydraulics, pneu-
matics, basic electrical, compressors, vacuum systems and welding\ o Clean up work area removing all tools, debris, dirt, overspray, etc.
? Install new, or relocate existing, equipment with all required utilities, including water,\ compressed air, electrical (three phase), steam, hydraulic, and vacuum.\ o Layout area for equipment\ o Identify location of all utilities\ o Install all required utilities\ o Safely rig and move equipment\ o Clean up work area removing all tools, debris, dirt, overspray, etc.
