Cat® Dynamic Energy Transfer is a fully Caterpillar-developed system that can transfer energy to both diesel-electric and battery-electric large mining trucks while they are working around a mine site. It can also charge a machine’s batteries while operating with increased speed on grade, improving operational efficiency and machine uptime.
What you will do:
Serve as a Product Service Engineer for Energy Transfer New Production Introduction (NPI) programs in the mining industry
Understand customer needs and preferences as they relate to performance, reliability, durability and serviceability of our solutions
Lead the development of NPI deliverables, including product support publications, service tooling and training
Work closely with Caterpillar, dealer and customer mine site teams to support deployment, successful operation and uptime of electrified mining systems
Conduct issue identification activities at Caterpillar test sites and customer mine sites
Advise on root cause and corrective action (RCCA), validation and measuring resolution effectiveness
Advise on refinement of engineering requirements
Participate in system, component and sub-system design reviews and safety & serviceability audits
What skills you will have:
Technical Excellence: Technical background in product support, engineering, or field service , in heavy equipment or power systems.
We’re looking for individuals with experience supporting a product in the field. You don’t need to know DET — we’ll teach you.
Effective Communications: Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Top candidates will also have:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Experience with electrification.
Understanding of mining equipment and mine site operations.
Additional Information:
The primary work location for this role is Tucson, AZ, with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.
Travel for this role is typically up to 25%, possibly higher at certain peak periods, with opportunities for international travel.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
