CBRE Data Center Engineering Manager in Tucker, Georgia

About the Role:

As a CBRE Data Center Manager, you will manage the team responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair services to a data center.

This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

What You’ll Do:

· Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

· Ensure uptime and reliability of critical infrastructure (UPS, Chillers, HVAC, generators, etc.).

· Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

· Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.

· Monitor capacity planning and support infrastructure scaling.

· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and security standards.

· Develop and manage operational budgets and reporting.

· Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

· Manage the relationship with the client while working with other stakeholders to meet all MSA requirements.

· Responsible for ensuring the completion of configuration management, work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs within the agreed SLA timeframe.

· Resolve unforeseen circumstances that occur and inform the client or Sr. management when needed.

· Verify facility infrastructure equipment installations are within the agreed SLA timeframe.

· Oversee Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation and decommission requests.

· Check daily routine cleanup of the data halls and review findings.

· Confirm all deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.

· Ensure that all records are updated following any changes made. Ensure that documentation is also kept up to date for all applicable processes.

· Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments and presents to Sr. management.

· Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

· Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

· Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You’ll Need:

· Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

· Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

· Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

· Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department

· In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

Bachelor's Degree required, with 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources, preferred. Prior experience with labor relations in a unionized environment, preferred. CHRP or CHRL in progress, preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret business documents, including complex employment contracts and other legal documents. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from client groups, co-workers, supervisor and/or management. Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, preferred.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the People Coordinator position is $25.00 per hour and the maximum salary is $28.84 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
