Job Description
As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electromechanical assemblies with precision and safety. This role involves working from drawings and instructions, using a variety of tools and techniques to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Accurately assemble electromechanical assemblies according to drawings and instructions.
Solder, strip, crimp, and splice electrical components.
Build mechanical subassemblies using fastening methods.
Torque fasteners to proper specifications and in sequence.
Route cables and secure wiring throughout systems.
Attach labels or name plates to assemblies and components.
Measure dimensions to verify proper clearance of parts.
Safely use standard assembly tools such as hex wrenches and wire cutters.
Read and understand electrical schematics.
Inspect and test subassemblies for mechanical functionality and electrical continuity.
Escalate errors or discrepancies in bill of material structures.
Visually inspect components for flaws or damage.
Assist with packaging finished goods and material handling.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, participating in 5S program.
Communicate ideas and facts professionally to stakeholders.
Perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
Upload component firmware according to instructions.
Document changes using the redline process.
Rework and repair equipment and products as instructed.
Develop work instructions, including writing assembly notes.
Use advanced tooling and assist in tool/jig development.
Operate and maintain test fixtures and devices.
Perform field service as needed.
Navigate 3D CAD/e-drawings for assembly aid.
Perform cold checks using schematics.
Obtain high-voltage electrical safety training for hot checks.
Build cables/wire harnesses conforming to IPC 620 standards.
Assemble 24V safety circuits (e-stops, light curtains, sensors).
Identify and lead continuous improvement activities.
Troubleshoot electromechanical assemblies.
Lead first article projects and production team.
Collaborate with engineering on R&D builds.
Mentor and train less experienced associates.
Essential Skills
2+ years of assembly or building experience.
Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and splicing electrical components.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Understanding of blueprints and electrical schematics.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High-voltage electrical safety training.
Proficiency in UL 508A electrical panel wiring.
Proficiency in IPC 620 standard wire harness building.
Experience in assembling 24V safety circuits.

Work Environment
Work in a large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility. Individual work stations are available, where hand and power tools are used to assemble mechanical components. The facility is currently expanding its work stations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
