Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

The Assembler performs repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to build knife components into fully completed products. This role uses hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks, with the expectation that, by the end of training, you will be able to work at all stations on the line. You maintain a clean and orderly work area, follow all prescribed safety regulations, and support the team by performing additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to assemble knife components into completed knives.

  • Use hand tools and power tools to carry out precise mechanical assembly tasks.

  • Learn and become proficient in all assembly stations by the end of the training period.

  • Work with small parts and handle them accurately throughout the assembly process.

  • Follow detailed, multi-step assembly instructions consistently and accurately.

  • Meet daily production numbers in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, organized, and orderly condition.

  • Follow all prescribed safety regulations and promote a safety-minded culture on the production floor.

  • Stay focused and on task to meet intense deadlines in certain departments.

  • Perform other assembly or production duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills

  • Strong manual dexterity to work effectively with small parts and hand tools.

  • Good attitude and clear, respectful communication skills with coworkers and supervisors.

  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate and consistent assembly work.

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to remember and perform multiple steps in the correct sequence.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, results-driven manufacturing environment.

  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in mechanical assembly work.

  • Ability to pass a knife assembly test as part of the qualification process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly line work is beneficial.

  • Background using hand tools and basic mechanical assembly techniques is a plus.

  • Ability to work safely around tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.

  • Strong focus and concentration to maintain productivity and quality throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.50/hr.
