Location: Trumbull, CT (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $24–$28/hour

Position Overview
The Production Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and executing production schedules to ensure customer demand and delivery deadlines are consistently met. This role collaborates cross-functionally to align production plans with inventory, capacity, and material availability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and customer demand
Create manufacturing plans based on resource capacity, inventory targets, and business needs
Review MRP outputs and release work orders to support production requirements
Monitor schedules and proactively resolve exceptions or disruptions
Partner with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components
Collaborate with Production and Operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of plans
Maintain accurate documentation for reporting, traceability, and audit purposes
Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly production schedules
Update and maintain procedures in accordance with business system requirements
Work with global planning teams to manage and adjust safety stock levels
Ensure appropriate inventory coverage across distribution centers
Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
Support additional planning or operational initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in materials planning, production planning, or logistics
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues under pressure
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
APICS certification preferred
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with extended periods of computer work
Occasional time spent on the production floor and in warehouse areas
