Our client is seeking a proactive Accounts Receivable Representative to manage a portfolio of domestic and international customer accounts. This role is key to ensuring timely cash collection and reducing past-due balances by leveraging strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with Sales and Customer Service teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Pay: Up to $50/hr

3-6 Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor A/R aging and engage customers to resolve past-due balances, documenting all collection activity accurately.

  • Investigate and resolve invoice disputes, short payments, misapplied cash, and discrepancies related to pricing, freight, or taxes.

  • Prepare and send collection correspondence, including third-party referrals when necessary.

  • Process account adjustments, write-offs, credit/rebill activity, and related G/L coding.

  • Provide regular reporting on delinquent accounts and credit hold status.

  • Support departmental operations and special projects, including serving as backup for A/R functions.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound A/R inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of A/R and B2B collections experience in a high-volume environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate), Word, and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, customer-focused mindset, and effective communication and negotiation skills.

  • Solid understanding of billing and collections processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
