Our client is seeking a proactive Accounts Receivable Representative to manage a portfolio of domestic and international customer accounts. This role is key to ensuring timely cash collection and reducing past-due balances by leveraging strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with Sales and Customer Service teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Pay: Up to $50/hr
3-6 Contract
Key Responsibilities
Monitor A/R aging and engage customers to resolve past-due balances, documenting all collection activity accurately.
Investigate and resolve invoice disputes, short payments, misapplied cash, and discrepancies related to pricing, freight, or taxes.
Prepare and send collection correspondence, including third-party referrals when necessary.
Process account adjustments, write-offs, credit/rebill activity, and related G/L coding.
Provide regular reporting on delinquent accounts and credit hold status.
Support departmental operations and special projects, including serving as backup for A/R functions.
Respond promptly and professionally to inbound A/R inquiries.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of A/R and B2B collections experience in a high-volume environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate), Word, and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, customer-focused mindset, and effective communication and negotiation skills.
Solid understanding of billing and collections processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
